I heard about NovaSure from my doctor and through TV commercials. It was after about 20 years of heavy periods that started when I was a young adult, probably in my 20s. After I had my first kid it died down and after my second kid it got heavy again.

Before I had NovaSure endometrial ablation, I would go through a lot of overnight pads. Sometimes I couldn’t get off the toilet. I would sit for 30 minutes at a time. At work I would spend a lot of time in the bathroom. I kept a jacket at work that I could tie around my waist if couldn’t make it to the bathroom. I didn’t think anyone would ever notice. I would do that a lot in school too, and wear dark pants.

I still wear dark pants, though in the summer I wear lighter clothes now that I don’t have to worry about having accidents. I don’t have the inconvenience, no more pain, no more cramps, the cost is minimal, and I don’t have to worry about accidents. I would recommend NovaSure to women who suffer from heavy menstrual bleeding.
